Why I made this game

Sneaking a few chips during 2nd period, hiding a sandwich behind a textbook, freezing every time the teacher stops writing… If you ever tried to eat in class, or watched a friend try, you probably remember that mix of panic and fun. In Japan it even has a name, “hayaben” (early lunch): students sneak bites of their packed lunch in class because they can't wait until noon. I wanted to turn that feeling into a game you can play with one finger while you wait for the bus.

The game is built on Red Light, Green Light. The only rule is “hold to eat, let go to close the lid,” and the strategy comes from the signs that the teacher is about to turn (the chalk sound and the movement of his head) and the split second the lid needs to open and close. Each teacher has a different warning time and different habits, so you get used to the timing in 1st period before facing Mr. Double-Take in 4th.
